I love the idea of using the urban landscape as a gallery. Our world has such beauty and those spots need protecting. But do we have some run down neglected areas in places too. Areas that if you let the creatives free (of which there are many) we can really help make the world a more beautiful and interesting space.. Similar to how the artists gentrified Shoreditch in East London..
For me though that’s not my path right now. My main artwork is bounding from strength to strength and commission to commission. So the urban landscape is on hold, for the moment!
But I'm not a big one for upsetting or causing stress into another person’s lives where is absolutely and reasonably avoidable. So this urban side is definitely bubbling away but it’s going to take a slightly different direction for me. To be continued.
But in the meantime while working on commissions I’ve found that my need to express things in life has just been organically erupting out of me in a poetic form.
For many years I’ve been writing but just never pulling it all together and putting it out properly.
This was for for two main reasons..........
Fear &Time
But for some reason this side of work has just organically come about as my commissions are exploding too. And as one sector of my work seems to need more and more time, it has strangely opened up more courage and time into the other side found here. Strange how life goes!
It’s a healthy head space for me to express and release the build up of energy within me. All this coming beautifully into play at an amazing and exciting time period not just for me and my work but for us all, especially creatives.
A time where we have all been graced with an amazing, cheap and easily accessible Ai assistant. Granted one in their infancy who’s still growing and maturing but an amazing one none the less. A helper with huge time saving skills and capabilities that has enabled much easier quicker and cheaper output of my textual and poetic art.
