Russell’s photography tutorials and teaching started from friends and family asking for help with their photographic problems or when they were looking to buy a camera. Now he runs private tutorials and classes and also provides group talks at educational institutions. Russell has been working as professional photographer for over 10 years. In this time he has built and sold a successful general photographic studio in Sevenoaks, he has also managed and run studios for other photographers. He still works on a consultancy basis for photographic studios in Kent.

   “Photography’s the world’s largest hobby but the technology is now massive for this field, and very easy to get lost in. I just find out what people want to be doing and help them get there in a jargon free simple way.  ”

Russell is located in North kent in the village of Farningham by Brands hatch. He offers help, teaching and tutorial across all spectrums and levels of photography, computer use and camera phones. It may just be advice on buying a compact or moving up to a digital SLR. Camera basics (compact and slr) to Photoshop or computer and software problems.    

I’m a complete amateur is that ok? - Russell is used to helping all levels of photographer. From someone who’s never touched a camera, right through to the professional photographers. So whatever your photography skills don’t worry. It’s about helping you along and finding out what you’d like to be photographing and getting you there.

How much does it cost? -  It is £35 per hour location dependant. Groups vary depending on the numbers within the group.

Where do you do them? -  Russell lives in Farningham, North Kent and offers tutorials to clients in their home or a chosen location. Alternatively tutorials can take place at his studio located between Otford and Farningham.
