He also helps create what is now know as ‘Boudoir Photography’ which is when people are looking to have tasteful images done of themselves usually as a present for either their partner or spouse. Sometimes people just want them as a memento for themselves. Over the last 10 years Russell has built a strong reputation for cutting edge photography, artwork and imagery. Over that time he has built a strong understanding of how agencies work and what they look for in portfolios and/or head shots.

 He works with all different levels of model and actor and strives to create photography and visuals that will stand his clients apart from their competitors. He listens closely to his clients needs and is a perfectionist in achieving them.

Russell also offers advice and guidance to new models and actors about agencies, posing and helps them to understand themselves aesthetically from a visual perspective.    

“How much do you charge? (Prices are Location Dependant)

1 Hour Model/Acting Head shots or Test Shoot with 2 digital images - £75

2 Hour Model/Actor Shoot  (10-12 Digital Images and retouching) -£149

½ Day Portfolio Shoot (20-25 Digital Images and retouching) - £250

Full Day Portfolio Shoot (40-50 Digital Images and retouching) - £450

“Where would the shoot take place?” -  Russell lives in Farningham, North Kent and he recommends shoots to clients in their home or a chosen location where they are most comfortable. Alternatively shoots can take place at his studio located between Otford and Farningham.

“How do we book?” -  Choose a few possible dates in the diary that are convenient with yourself. Then simply email your enquiry. The email will go straight to Russell’s phone. He’ll then contact you asap.

“I’m new to this and anxious about my shoot!”  -  Russell’s is very experienced and used to shooting all levels of actors and models, he has a very easy going nature and is very good at relaxing people.

  “Can I bring a friend!”  -  Our advice to any model new to the industry is that for any shoots with a new photographer is to take a friend with you. For anyone under 18 years of age a guardian should always be present.

“I’ve been approached by an agency in the street and they say I could be a model but need photographs, what advice do you have?” - If they insist you use a specific photographer, i.e their own photographer then just be wary. A lot of companies prey on people’s vanity and use it to sell portfolios and dreams.

“Can you tell if someone’s photogenic?”  -  Russell runs test shoots for those who want an honest opinion. In that short space of time he can tell if someone is photogenic. Models and actors need very thick skins and a test shoot’s a brilliant place to start.
